I had 3/4 of my spine dislocated due to a car accident on August 24th 1992. I was not able to control my body movements, loss of large and small motor skills. My hearing was off base, for example the phone would ring and I would think it was the door bell. My vision was also impaired sometimes when crossing the street I would see vehicles far away, but in reality they were very close to me. My balance in general was completely off of its entirety. After about one month I loss the capability to swallow food that I would eat because my throat would close up on me and I would start choking. I was enduring pain ranging from my neck down to my legs. I had muscle spasms quite frequently. I wasn't able to sleep, stand, or walk without having my entire body hurt and shake uncontrollably. I was in this condition for about a month until I could not bear the pain anymore, then my husband found me a back specialist.

When I arrived at West Charleston Chiropractic my impression of the staff personnel was very professional, considerate, compassionate, they're awesome. The atmosphere in the office is peaceful and quite. There are no words to express how wonderful the doctor is, the compassion he shows is outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and gives patients nothing but the best. If I don't understand something, Dr. Hansen will take the time to explain and use layman terms so that it is well understood. I came in for treatment everyday for a couple of weeks then it went to fours days and so forth. After a couple months I was able to sleep, hear, eat, walk, and run as normal. I was fully released from care and I felt great.

For those of you who are suffering from pain and tired of all the prescriptions and medications that those doctors are so willing to give without any remorse. See a chiropractor that can really help you, I know because I've been there. I always walk out of Dr. Hansen's office feeling great. Which is something that no other doctor could do for me.

I came in because my lower back, hips and knees were making me miserable. I stand for long hours behind a check-stand sometimes my whole shift. I saw my physician and was given Flexeril and Loratab for the pain. A woman from work gave told me to try a chiropractor and gave me Dr. Hansen's card. The office is very "homey" it feels very comfortable and the staff is the best in town, they are so friendly, like family. Dr, Hansen is the most, I wouldn't give him up for anything. I had improvement in the first two weeks I've been coming to Dr. Hansen for nine years. He fixes me right up with his adjustments, I feel fantastic! This is my story -- 27 years ago I started experiencing pain down my legs and my back was hurting all the time. Since the pain was not normal for me I went to my regular doctor. They took x-rays of my back and came to the conclusion I had some disks out of place that were pressing on the sciatica nerve and that it would require back surgery. I had never been in a car accident or had any falls, so I was taken back on how this had happened. I went to my parents upset that doctor wanted to do back surgery on me. I had always heard my parents talk about going to see a chiropractor for themselves. They told me absolutely not and I was going to see their chiropractor. The first time I was scared because I didn't know what to expect. I was told by the chiropractor on how the back and neck can go out at anytime at any age, so I let them treat me. It was by the second treatment I was able to walk with no pain and by a few more treatments there was no pain in my back at all. Since then which has been 27 years, when I feel the pain in my back or neck this is the my treatment (chiropractic) and I never needed surgery.

I had a great chiropractor in Seattle I had seen for 23 years. I moved to Las Vegas 4 years ago. After 3 months the pain was getting bad and now it was time to find a chiropractor. Not knowing anyone in this town I walked into Dr. Hansen's office because he was close to where I lived. Dr. Hansen has been taking care of me since my family moved to Las Vegas in 1975. My body is drug free. I eat right; drink clean water and exercise. Five years ago, my exercise became a routine group hiking. The muscles are growing with which growing pains comes and stiffness sets in. But Dr. Hansen always helps remove the stifling stiffness. With his care I can climb rocks 1/2 mile farther than my expectation. Stiffness comes from different directions. Stress causes our body to stiffen up. A cold or emotional stress hardens our body as well. Dr. Hansen loosens up the hardness in my body so that I can cope with my life. If people would stop taking medications and receive chiropractic care their body will be less contaminated with chemicals. We can live our life like a wild flower, which I'm trying to copy.

I came to see the doctor because of low back sciatica pain that I'd had for years. I also had migraines that I had had for years. I tried a spinal decompression machine and acupuncture but got to no avail. I have been a believer of chiropractic treatments most of my adult life. My family receives treatments as well. I found Dr. Hansen's office to be very warm & friendly. They make you feel as though you're the only patient of the day (my second family) They are sincere and about your well being. Since going in for treatments I have had very few attacks of migraines. Dr. Hansen keeps me lined up. With regular visits I keep the sciatica away and I feel young! I tell everyone how well I have been and encourage them to try a healthy way of getting well without drugs. Dr. Hansen and his staff have always had an open door policy for me when I have a flare up. All I have to do is call and they welcome me.

I came to the doctor because I had stiffness in my neck and lower back along with some off and on pain. I had tried aspirin, but my friend (at the time)(now she's my wife) told me to come see her chiropractor. I wasn't sure chiropractic was for me, but I soon found out that the right chiropractor can bring well being and confidence to your life. I found the office and Dr. Hansen to be very friendly, personable and caring. Now, I have much more mobility and am more in tune with my body. When I first came to see Dr. Hansen I had a crushed disc at S1 and the part that was left of that disc had fused to the one above it. 'A piece of the disc was lodged in my sciatic nerve. I had seen a pain management Dr who sent me for an MRI and put me on pain medication and kept trying to schedule surgery. I didn't want surgery and pain med's weren't working. I called several chiropractors recommended by friends, but not could see me. I saw the ad for Dr. Hansen which said I could come right in. Because of my condition I had doubts as to whether chiropractic could help me. When I first went to see Dr. Hansen he had genuine concern for me. He immediately took x-rays and said, we will sit down and go over them on Monday (this was a friday), but lets get you some relief right now. I could hardly walk or sit without severe pain. I was crying when I walked in and smiling when I walked out. I had relief after the 1st treatment after three months of pain meds. If you want quality of life back and pain relieved, Dr. Hansen is the only chiro who can do it. My spine, neck & low back were so damaged by the time I first started seeing Dr. Hansen that it couldn't be totally repaired. I'm still doing the same job that did the damage and in 10 years Dr. Hansen has kept it from getting worse. The staff is wonderful and I have always left the office feeling better, not only physically but emotionally. If you really want your life back and don't want to let pain ruin your quality of live, then Dr. Hansen is the only right choice.

I have a bit of a curvature of my spine. My back was really hurting me. I had used a chiropractor in Virginia and when my back started hurting here, I first found Dr. Hansen 22 years ago in a yellow page ad, he was smiling. I liked that face!! My improvement is fantastic. Many of my friends have been to see Dr. Hansen and have improved a lot. He is still smiling! My back goes out from time to time, but he puts me back in.

I had what you would call a sciatic nerve pain on the right side of my lower back. The pain was very traumatic for me. Some days I could not even walk it was that painful. I had had this problem for over a year. I saw a doctor and he put me on pain pills which did not cure the problem. I feared that I might become addicted to the pain medication. A friend of mine at work told me to try this chiropractor he knew. I had never been to a chiropractor before. I had my doubts as to whether it could help me because I was in so much pain. Well let's just say God has picked one of the chosen few. The office and staff were wonderful. Dr. Hansen has a wonderful bedside manor, and is a God send, he is a lifesaver. The doctor told me it would be painful for awhile going through the treatments and that I should rest, do no lifting, and keep my chiropractic appointments. Believe me, it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be, considering all the pain I had endured for an entire year. It took about 3-4 weeks and I had improved so much that I can't begin to tell you how much better I felt. Let's just say that if I ever have any more back problems, Dr. Hansen will be the man. First of all, when you go to chiropractic, you need to know there are good ones and there are bad ones (Dr.Hansen is the best in Las Vegas) When you go through the treatments it's like having surgery. You have to let it mend and stay with the treatments before it gets better. If there is anyone out there that is having the pain like I had please give this a chance. It is the only way I would go, believe me I've been to see too many other doctors and none of them helped me.
